Three years in with Toucantech and it just gets better and better

Comentários: For this review, I'd like instead to illustrate the answer to this question with how a specific problem was dealt with.Being new to using the fundraising module Toucantech was kind enough to "road test" what we had constructed to ensure it would work. This brought peace of mind.Then shortly afterwards, I felt confident to implement a further measure. This went horribly wrong. I was not sure if it was a problem with the software or something I had done.The team at Toucantech immediately responded to my urgent request for help. Following a 2-hour Zoom call, we worked out what I had done wrong, and Toucantech put it right so that it presented on the website as it was supposed to. (They were gracious enough to say that what I had done wrong could easily be done by other new users of their software, and so were going to improve the instructions for that part of the site.)At no time did I feel embarrassed for getting it wrong, and I was so grateful for their patience in putting things right as part and parcel of their normal, fantastic customer service.

Vantagens:

I like that you get to know the staff at Toucantech; and that they get to know you as well. This means we all better understand how to deal with problems.

Desvantagens:

Although "glitches" appear in the software from time to time, even this "down arrow issue" is usually dealt with speedily and efficiently. I assume rival software also can have these problems, so I prefer to work on the basis that Toucantech resolves them more quickly than its rivals.

Comentários: Overall experience as been nothing but positive. ToucanTech is a joy to work with, both in terms of its people and the product itself.

Vantagens:

The friendliness and efficiency of all the ToucanTech team, from the initial sales enquiry and contract negotiation through to the onboarding, data migration, training and support. The whole team have been extremely supportive and patient when at times we were not in a position to make immediate decisions.

Desvantagens:

We have found nothing that we dislike in our use of the product to date.

Comentários: Great. The team are really friendly and happy to help and advise. Any queries get a quick response. I use it daily and don't know how we would manage without it!

Vantagens:

Easy to use. Keeps records, fundraising, and comms all in one place

Desvantagens:

I sometimes struggle with the design elements -- however, the team are giving me lots of support with that.

Comentários: ToucanTech are very supportive and continue to support us. Nothing is too much trouble.

Vantagens:

The look of the system and how easy it is to use and manage. The Events feature is great, it has really helped me plan, organise, track attendance and promote our events. I also like the Advanced Filtering function where you can drill down specific user groups to send mass emails and analyse the data i.e whose reading your emails. The Fundraising section is excellent and direct payments updates the record automatically saving time and resource.

Desvantagens:

I do not have any dislikes, we are very pleased with the system. The only one thing I recommend is that you need to keep your data as up to date a possible. You data is only as good as the information you put in.

The best alumni and fundraising software providers on the market!

Comentários: We are an early customer of Toucan Tech and started working with them about 6 years ago when we decided to implement our first alumni software. It has been a huge pleasure along the way particularly because the team remains the same - their customer service is first rate all round.

Vantagens:

The whole team is very approachable and helpful, the tech team takes onboard all our comments and implements most of them and the software is very intuitive and user friendly. The software is also very complete with both an alumni and fundraising platforms.

Desvantagens:

I absolutely love everything about Toucan Tech!

Vantagens:

The team are incredibly helpful. Our account manager has worked in a school before so knows exactly what we need and can always see things from our perspective. The product is user-friendly and intuitive.

Desvantagens:

It is a product that is still developing - but the team take on feedback and work in an agile way.

Impressive, intuitive and streamlined system

Comentários: Fantastic, we couldn't recommend it more highly amongst the school alumni and engagement community. The staff are always outwardly proud of their work and what they can achieve and very helpful to any enquiry no matter how big or small.

Vantagens:

Such an accessible, user friendly and intuitive system. There was so much support throughout the whole on-boarding process and working in a school they met us with patience throughout long periods of busy patches.

Desvantagens:

I can't comment on anything further than the team already know about some functions/changes to some features that would really benefit schools using the platform, but they were already on it and I was impressed by the response to my feedback

Best fundraising CRM on the market by some distance

Comentários: Many companies claim to be customer -centric but in reality very few actually are - Toucan Tech are one of an elite group of companies that focus on delivering great products through customer led innovation.

Vantagens:

All features are designed to be user friendly and iterative yet don't compromise in terms of sophistication which is the hallmark of great CRM software. Sending mass emails and creating events are particularly impressive features and surpass anything else on the market.

Desvantagens:

Integration between third party payment providers and customer records was a little problematic but the data team resolved a complex issue through a combination of perseverance and in depth knowledge.

Comentários: Overall, ToucanTech is a brilliant product and their team is efficient and friendly.

Vantagens:

The product is easy to use and I like the logic of the search function. The support team is great and it's very helpful to have the tutorial pages.

Desvantagens:

Data hosting. This is an issue for overseas users as different countries have different data privacy standards.

Comentários: Really supportive team, quick to respond to queries and a very thorough onboarding. Our community are loving it!

Vantagens:

Database management and growth. Enabling us to utilise content to attract our community to engage with us further. A virtuous circle.

Desvantagens:

Some of the user journeys could be further refined but I know the product team work continually on this with new improvements all the time.

Alumni Engagement

Comentários: We have been delighted with the service from ToucanTech, there is always someone on hand to deal with glitches or queries. We have been happy to recommend it to other schools

Vantagens:

This is easy to use and intuitive. Its an excellent way of keeping in touch with former pupils and updating records. Recently we have launched our first fund raising campaign using the site and have found it invaluable, keeping us up to date with donations, making gift aid claims simple and linking back to the record of the donor. We also love the ease of setting up news items and galleries and sending mass emails.

Desvantagens:

We have a number of donors who give on a regular basis. Each of these donations have to be added manually each month. It would be really helpful if this happened automatically. This is the most difficult part of the site to navigate

Comentários: We needed to get all out data in to one easily accessible system and have a single comprehensive interface dedicated to our alumni community.

Vantagens:

ToucanTech has a simple to use and navigate user interface. It manages multiple functions which is great for a small office. The customisation is good and I have been impressed by the product enhancements and development since we started using the software.

Desvantagens:

The fundraising and donation logging feature could be improved. I would also like to see more ability to managed the news images that are uploaded.

Comentários: We are delighted with our new alumnae platform, which looks great and works well at the front end, and is easy to use and navigate at the back end! Our alumnae have been very complimentary about the improvements and the increased level of communication that we now offer. We have seen a dramatic increase in engagement levels as a result. The excellent level of customisation has allowed us to create a site we feel proud of, which we believe best reflects who we are and that has increased the level of support we can offer to our alumane.

Vantagens:

We have been using our new alumnae platform, which is powered by ToucanTech, for about a year now. It offers much greater functionality than the previous site and the engagement levels have soared accordingly. It allows events to be organised efficiently and effectively and we are now seeing increasing use of the more interactive elements of the platform, such as our mentoring schemes and alumnae clubs. Over the past 12 months, ToucanTech have continued to develop and improve the software and are always working on new features and welcome additions to their offering.

Desvantagens:

The ToucanTech support team offer an effective and well-run helpdesk and customised training. They were very hands on with the set up and integration of the new platform. The software has designed to be very user-friendly. The team work hard to resolove any issues or queries.

Comentários: There are huge positives and the software has already made a big difference in our abilities to run a website, collect data and soon to run online donations which is very important. I find the customer Services team respond very quickly and we have very much enjoyed our sessions with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] I do find that the Instruction Manuals/help guides on line could be more detailed with some topics missed completely and others only having a brief summary of the process you are trying to complete/attempt for the first time. There are many times, that had the help guides been slightly more detailed then I would have happily used these and worked though the steps and not needed to contact customer services. I think this would be hugely helpful.

Vantagens:

I like the look and format of the software. The fundraising fund pages are extremely helpful in giving up to date stats and I like that you can build your own web pages and manage them instantly. This is extremely valuable, liberating and time effective.

Desvantagens:

Some parts of the software formatting are not always straightforward and take some time to work out how to use. I find the reporting element a little tricky but I know this is being worked on. It would be great if there were a few more "standard panels" in the design hub for building non-menu web pages that would offer more options in terms of layout.

A real asset to our work

Comentários: Excellent across many years. In a previous capacity, I was an early adopter and have found the company superb to deal with right from sales and implementation through to support. Most recently I was happy to advise my school client that this would be the best solution.

Vantagens:

Accessibility. You do not have to be a database or IT professional to use it. With the good training provided, most people will be able to do pretty everything they want or need to do.Support. Excellent, quick and helpful support for those jobs which you cannot do yourself.

Desvantagens:

Minor layout features which could perhaps change. Nothing important. It is good that if we have something we would really like changing it is immediately put into the system for review and if thought to be a good idea for all TT users then the change happens.

Community Engagement - International School

Comentários: I can't think of anything since I was realistic about what I wanted and what it delivers.

Vantagens:

As a new school (in our third year), building community is a priority. We needed a user-friendly tool to help us do this. It also needs to be GDPR compliant. Our parents are willing to give consent for their child's image to be posted on an internal community such as this one, which allows us to document/celebrate the many wonderful things happening at TASIS Portugal. They are also incredibly eager to connect with each other professionally and the business network allows this.

Desvantagens:

None. We were realistic about what we were purchasing -- what it offered/didn't offer.

Great system for Alumni Relations and Careers Network

Vantagens:

Email system is very easy to use. Customer Service/ training is excellent.

I have a small budget and ToucanTech takes up most of that. Not much I can do really as competitors all similar prices.

Highly recommended product for school alumna and development offices

Comentários: Overall we are very happy with ToucanTech, so much so that we have recently resigned with them for a further three year contract. The product answers all of our needs within our alumnae and development office.

Vantagens:

The best part of the software is that it is a one stop shop, so you have your database, fundraising, online portal, and events functions all tied into one package rather than needing different software options to answer different needs.

Desvantagens:

We are generally very happy with this product, but of course as with all products, there are occasional glitches. However, the customer support team always respond very quickly and efficiently to these and they are constantly working to improve and to bring out new features.

More than a product/service provider...this company consistently go the extra mile

Comentários: I have been working with ToucanTech for the past two years using their Alumni Software. They are more than a 'service provider'. They listen and adapt and change to feedback from their users, which is not something I have experienced before. Other companies I have worked with say they listen but nothing ever seems to change.
ToucanTech have a thirst and desire to be the best and this comes across in everything they do and in my humble opinion they are the best. They go the extra miles every day and make their customers, like me, feel part of their family'listened too, respected and willing to grow together.
Their software is intuitive, easy to use and most of all FUN to use. I come into work excited to see what has happened on my 'network' and keen to do more. We really are seeing a change in the way our Alumni 'see' our school...they are seeing the value we can add to them now and how they can use their network to benefit them. We could not have done this without ToucanTech.
I really can't say a bad word - ha ha apart from the fact that I now have Alumni connecting with me every day now so I am very very busy!!!

Vantagens:

Easy to use Links to SIMS so makes downloads easy FUN for our end users If you see improvements they really will listen! Additional Services they provide e.g. Report on how your network is performing making it easy to feedback to your school They have a network where you can link in with other people using the software to share ideas/experiences
